ramp job

A sudden, suspicious, and unexplained rise in stock market prices at the end of the trading day. Attributed by observers to market manipulation by large financial institutions.

In particular, a "ramp job" is suspected to be the work of the secretive "PPT" (Plunge Protection Team). Refers to an attempt to sustain artificially high prices in equities despite an overall bear-market trend.

Derisive term suggesting nefarious activity, related to other slang terms such as "whack job" (secretly arranged contract murder) and "hack job" (ineffective temporary solution to a problem).

"Look at that ramp job in the S&P chart at the close on Friday. The PPT is hitting hard, they really do not want this market to fall. Don't believe the hype."

A knee Job is when you wake up at two in the morning and your old lady has jammed her Knee into your C&B's and is rubbin' like she either wants to bust 'em off or make you spurt a load on her leg. Generally best when she's wearing hosiery of some kind.

Boo Job

A blow job recieved from a ghost. It is an unexplained occurence that tends to happen mostly at night. Many paranormal investigators believe it is not an intelligent haunting, but just an "imprint" of what was. Boo jobs happen mostly to boys that are ages 13-17. Many people believe a boo job is a form of "ghost rape". Nobody knows exactly why boo jobs happen to people. Some people think it is at random, and others believe that the person recieving the boo job could have been the ghost's lover in another life.

Timmy awoke to a strange sucking noise. He looked down to see a white mist at his "package". He let out a scream and the white mist vanished. It occured to him that he had just been a victim of a "boo job".

Job Rapist

A Job Rapist is a term coined by Strictly-Software.com to describe Bad Internet Crawlers e.g a BOT that does not conform to the normal protocols of automated website crawling. Especially on recruitment based websites that advertise jobs e.g jobboards.

This bad behaviour may include ignoring the Robots.txt file standards that tell BOTS which pages they can and cannot access and over crawling a site to the point of bringing it down.

However the main reason why a BOT would be labelled a Job Rapist is that it steals jobs without the site owners consent. Instead of asking if they can take job adverts from Site A to put on their own site they instead crawl the site without permission stealing the job content AKA Job Raping.

Job Rapists are mainly aggregators who are trying to build up their database of jobs without paying for them.

My jobboard was scraped again today by that awful Job Rapist JobRapido.

If an internet police did exist then the job raping of recruitment sites would be a severe crime alongside email harvesting, spamming and hacking.
