Used in the game of Poker, "Running Bad" is used to describe a player who is losing badly at the table, often by a fish.

With three fish at this table, I can't believe Jason is the only one running badly.

The expression is used when something really bad happens like a pokemon dying in your pokemon game. It is usually only used when playing videogames like minecraft and pokemon. It could also be used in real-life situations though.
