proogrammer

A computer programmer or software developer with an elitist, know-it-all attitude. Typically, a proogrammer will come up with the most complicated and impractical solution to a problem (always OOP), merely to demonstrate their superior coding prowess.

"So, Jim, did you complete the simple one-button contact form I asked you to make?"
"Um, of course. I built out the data retrieval class, which extends the base form object class, which implements my custom built button class, and I'm finishing up the second layer of abstraction as we speak."

Self-Important Program

Like computer programs that run automatically on your computer, whether you want them to run or not, because their programmers have decided they automatically should. Any person (or program) that takes over from a mind set of self-importance, whether someone has asked them to be the center of attention or not.

Ever since Amy came in here, and took over, things haven't been going well.
Yeah, she's really quite the self-important program isn 't she?

My computer takes a long time to reboot, it has lots of self-important programs running.

Advanced Placement Program

Just to make the "gifted" or over achievers in highschool feel special and smart. While the ones that are considered idiots actually take congruent enrollment, and earn credit by taking an actual college class instead of doing the AP program were you have to take a standardise test right after the class for a slim chance you would get credit......

Just my two cents about the Advanced Placement Program.

programmers curse

the 'programmers curse' is a common issue where you learn enough of a programming language that there is no longer any major new information you can learn about it, making it boring, you know how to do most anything you need to in that language and no longer want to make anything in it. This is possibly due to a lack of creativity and or lack of a long attention span, you learn the language and have no creative ideas how to use it in a way that entertains you.

John: Hey a few months ago didn't you tell me you were learning Python? Make anything cool in it?
Kevin: Yeah I learned the language pretty well but now because of my programmers curse, I haven't made anything interesting yet.
