Hipster dancing

Hipster dancing is the movement done by one who is a hipster at shows and scene clubs. the movment requires not only concentration of the body but of the attitude.
the facial expression must be of a pissed off, mad to be here, bitter at the world scowl.
the body will sway from side to side with feet tapping in sort of a toe touch motion.
the bouncing of the body is subtle and the hands are forced straight down with an occasional snap.
its quite hilarious. sometimes you can add in the quirky dance move such as bringing back a retro move or a move you made up that is only known amongst the group.
im summary: look upset to be here, be drunk off PBR, reak of cigarettes and marc jacobs perfume, wear american apparel and look like an idiot.
it's fun, i do it all the time.
hipster dancing sounds fun.
i'll teach you but i get to pick the music

Because Crystal doesn't eat any vegetables, she's become over weight by eating nothing but cheese pizza. Stupid Hipster Vegetarian!

Artificial Hipster

(n); A person who follows the latest hipster trends no matter how unbearable they prove to be. Just so they could be more hipster than the next guy.
"Does that guy actually like watching Portlandia and listening to The Growlers?"

"No he's just an artificial hipster."

Hipster Bisexual

Person who elevates minor same-sex dalliances in an attempt to seem more relevant and cool than they actually are, despite never having dated or slept with another same-sex partner again. Announce their bisexuality loudly and more proudly than other LGBT-oriented people and will regale you again and again with stories of their lone same-sex encounter.
Dumb hipster bisexual fool is telling us about her high school girlfriend of 2 weeks. Again.

hipster irony

The purposeful irony presented by a hipster upon first glance or through deeper investigation, such as conversation. For example, only a hipster would wear a t-shirt that reads: "I'm NOT a Hipster. Believe me." It is also ironic that what hipsters deem as "cool" (or "deck," in hipster talk) is not really deck, but is approved only by members of that group.
Examples of hipster irony include iconic spectator glasses frames, a "casual" but "I'm not trying that hard to be casual" look, bedhead hair, and/or the century-old handlebar mustache comeback "look." Another example: Hipsters listen to music that they admit is crappy but that the band never "sold out." This could then be the topic of a very long discussion.

Hipster

The term “hipster” is loosely thrown around; therefore, it is very difficult to define the word itself. However, an unbiased definition of a hipster could be agreed upon: Any man or woman, typically in their late teens to early 30’s, who reject as much mainstream culture as they possibly can. They are generally seen in, but not restricted to, clothing such as flannel shirts, skin-tight jeans, bland colored shoes (mostly Toms or Converse), and thick-framed, old school style glasses. Also common styles are graphic tee shirts with ironic pictures or sayings on the front, or patterned thermals/sweaters. As far as music goes, hipsters will typically listen to anything that the general public has never heard of before. For the most part, when an indie band that a hipster listens to becomes popular, the band will be deemed “mainstream” and thrown out of the hipster’s music collection. Sports are qualified as “mainstream” by the hipsters, and are generally used as an ironic device in their culture (for example, signing up for a game of tee-ball at the recreation park, or taking a picture of themselves in cheesy 80’s workout clothing, playing a game of racquetball). If you live deep in a very urban environment, you will tend to see hipsters on the streets, in restaurants, and just about everywhere else you can wander (i.e. Williamsburg). But, if you live in a smaller city, you can go to a downtown coffee shop (not Starbucks) or a bar (not a sports bar) and likely see at least one.
Non-hipster: "Hey, what's up, man?"
Hipster: "Nothin, just listening to my friend's band's new album. It's called 'Underwater Station Cinema Five Layer Burrito Club'. Have you heard of it? That's right. Didn't think so."
Non-hipster: "Dude... I really don't care."
Hipster: "... It's ironic because burritos are real mainstream."
