Possible origin, Capetown - District Six all the way up to Walmer Estate. I have never known a Durbanite or Joburgian to use this term.

Diverse in its application, for example lekker bedornit - really pissed off, top shelf angry

lekker bedornit - questioning someone's sanity

bedornit has mild impact (without the addition of 'lekker')
