boggs violation

Named for the 6th Circuit judge whose remarks at the reform club website inspired it, a Boggs Violation treats the other side of the argument as stupid and evil, while mischaracterizing everything said so as to come to that conclusion, while insisting on liberal and good-hearted understanding of one's own side.. His original post has been quoted, sometimes with odd and even numbers for the privileged and unprivileged sides of the argument, to try to push toward more honest discussion.
