n. A loud middle-aged or elderly man usually found in pubs, betting shops, municipal golf courses, flea markets and bus rallies throughout the UK. The word 'putter' in this sense has origins in 'punter' and of course an old putter will 'putt around' - invariably getting in everone's way in the process.

Putters usually follow a traditional dress: Cap or trilby hat, golf attire, blazers, flasher-macs and unfashionable spectacles. They are very traditional in their views and despite their generally working class origins, they will vote Conservative.

Putters love to whistle- loudly. A putter's whistle is often tuneless and full of sentimental vibrato - usually some unmusical version of a wartime number.
Putters can be grumpy and very impatient with young people.

The word "Pubster" is used to describe any one being participating in any online multiplayer game, and is being a complete and utter dick sucking jackass to the other sane players, because he/she cannot control their temper due to the fact that they have no life.

Also, the word "Pubster" can be used to describe any person who is against or frowns upon WoW Players.

Sally lived in a rental house so her parents got her poster putty to hang up her posters with. She promptly forgot about it and while cleaning her room put it with her play-dough. several months later Sally found the play-dough and poster putty. They were slightly different shades of blue, and Sally realized that one of them must be the missing poster putty. she then picked up one of the play-dough thinking it was the poster putty, and used it to hang up her new Taylor Swift poster.

THREE YEARS LATER THEY MOVE AWAY. SALLY IS STILL A TAYLOR SWIFT FAN ANT STILL HAS THE POSTER HANGING UP.

Mom-- Sally, you need to take down that poster.
Sally-- fine.

Sally pulls down the poster. The three-year-old blue play-dough has left a huge blue stain on the wall.
