Larina

A ship between two VERY talented singers.

Marina Lambrini Diamandis, known professionally as Marina and the Diamonds, is a Welsh singer-songwriter. Born in Brynmawr and raised in nearby Pandy, she moved to London as a teenager to become a professional singer, despite having little formal musical experience. In 2009, Diamandis came to prominence upon placing second in the BBC's Sound of 2010. Her debut studio album, The Family Jewels, incorporates indie pop and new wave musical styles. It entered the UK Albums Chart at number five and was certified gold by the British Phonographic Industry. The album's second song, "Hollywood", peaked at number 12 on the UK Singles Chart.

Elizabeth Woolridge Grant, known professionally as Lana Del Rey, is an American singer, songwriter, and model. Her music has been noted for its cinematic style, its preoccupation with themes of tragic romance and melancholia, and its references to pop culture, particularly 1950s and 1960s Americana.
"OMG! Did you see that video of Marina and the Diamonds and Lana Del Rey? They're doing a collab! And they hugged!"
"SERIOUSLY?! Larina is SO real."
"I know right! They should name their future child Marina Del Rey!"

Afro-Latino

A man from or with roots from any spanish speaking country with both black (African) and spanish ancestry. Sometimes referred to as a blatino or a blaxican (depending on the spanish country of origin). As with an afro-latina, afro-latino's have the best of both worlds. They are sexy, passionate, make great lovers and ladies, if you are ever lucky enough to catch one, you'll find there's nothing better than a brotha who speaks Spanish. They come in many flavors, cafe (Merlin Santana), cafe con leche (Tego Calderon), caramel (Maxwell)and leche.
At times, the Afro-Latino may become very frustrated, because the latino community (which he loves)doesn't recognize him and shows racism. Afro-Latinos take this in stride and continue being the lovers that they are.
Ayyyy, Tego Calderon is fine, I gotta get me an afro-latino como el!

Girl #1:Gurl, I didn't know that brotha spoke Spanish?
Girl#2:Yeah, gurl, he's afro-latino!

Brooklyn Latin

One of New York City's specialized high schools, albeit the one with the lowest cut-off score. One of the top ten schools in New York City, as well as one of the top 50 in United States. As a relatively new specialized school, it often goes unnoticed as future freshmen consider their future high school. It offers the IB Diploma, for which almost 100% of the school tries for every year. As an extremely small school, there is a warm family atmosphere in the school. We aren't very competitive with other schools, and receive a lot of homework. But we're alright; indifferent. <3
Person A: What school do you go to?
Person B: Oh, I go to The Brooklyn Latin School!
Person A: Really? I've never heard of it.

latinum

Latinum is a rare silver liquid used as currency by the Ferengi Alliance and many other worlds. It cannot be replicated. For ease of transaction, latinum is usually suspended within gold to produce "gold-pressed" latinum.
Ferengi rules:

- Nature decays, latinum lasts forever.
- Even a blind man can recognize the glow of latinum.

Subpoena [latin]

A Subpoena actually or correctly is an order of a court which requires a person to be present at a certain time and place or suffer a penalty (subpoena means, literally, "under penalty"). This is the tool used by Court to ensure that witnesses present themselves at a given place, date and time to make themselves available to testify.
Subpoena to be present for a deposition at the Court or more practically, in one of the attorneys offices.

Latin Rap

Rap from the Latino community has been around since rap's beginnings, but it didn't break into the pop mainstream until much later. The twin successes of Mellow Man Ace's "Mentirosa" and Kid Frost's "La Raza" in 1990 brought Latin Rap hallmarks, rapping in multilingual "Spanglish," Latin rhythms, and images of urban Latino lifestyles, to the pop charts. Mellow Man Ace's brother, Sen Dog, is a founding member of the most famous Latino rap act, Cypress Hill.
