Sir-nod-alot

A fentanyl user continuously nodding of during a conversation or social activity, and when awoken from that state expressing with great haste that they are just tired.

Friend "Hey sir-nod-alot...ur gonna fall over " Reply "I dozed off cause I'm so tired I haven't slept in forever!" Friend "ur high!" Reply "no man I haven't had any all day...I'm sick!"

Walker's Nod

A respectful bow of the head usually done multiple times by more experienced walkers, usually ones who notice body patterns and such. Either this walker or passerby does not want to talk or would not like to appear threatening. It may be akward for tbe person opposite from you, if they nod too early or too late. Usually said walker will bow their head for a few seconds when passing shoulder to shoulder, which is quite normal. I personally use the walker's nod a lot, and as mutual walkers, we all understand. When I first started walking a lot, I was quite confused, but realized quickly what others were doing. This is a show of respect, don't take it wrong. Anyway, have fun on your next walk! Remember to nod!

Dutch Nod

When you are out in public spaces, (most often your local farmer's market and/or auction, diner, luncheonette, or fire company social quarters) somewhere in south central Pennsylvania, and you notice you are being watched by an old man who does nothing more than give you a barely perceptible nod (perhaps squinting a bit as well), letting you know you are "O.K." and accepted.

"hey man you sure we are gonna be ok walking into this place? It looks rough."
"Yeah man, that old dude gave me the Dutch Nod walking in"
"Really??? That guy gave me the finger!!"
"Well then.... you're fucked"
