A phrase that expresses affection, popularized by the movie Jerry Maguire. At the end of the movie, when Jerry expresses his love in a long-winded speech to Dorothy, Dorothy's reply was the simple phrase: "You had me at hello."

Jerry Maguire: I love you. You... complete me.
Dorothy: Shut up. Just shut up. You had me at "hello."

hella days

widely used norcal/bay area phrase used to describe an extended period of time. Could be anywhere from a few minutes to a few years.

Used much in the same context that others not from norcal use the word forever (eg) "We've been living here forever"

norcal person 1: It took you hella days to get over here.
norcal person 2: Yeah dude, I know. The traffic in the bay area blows.

norcal person 1: I haven't seen you in hella days! (usually 3 or more days... but it could even be years)
norcal person 2: hella

Hella Hurt

Hella hurt (very popular in Northern California) describes somebody who gets really mad over nothing. It could also mean somebody who really ugly

Girl- I asked my teacher how old she is and she started yelling at me.
Girl 2- Wow, She hella hurt

Boy- That girl with the mole, and bowl cut is his girlfriend.
Boy 2- eww she hella hurt, he need to upgrade

The opposite of healthy. Something that is devilishly good. Usually associated with your worst cravings in life.

It's not healthy if it's hellthy. One bite for the hellth of it.
