emo hipster

A hipster that tries to have a dark, gloomy appearance as a fad, usually identifiable by an overweight shape, wearing flannel with an emo frizz and typical hipster way of talking. Will tell you about bands from local colleges you'd probably never heard of nor gived a shit because of its cliche sound and will think they are better than you if you are not part of their hipster group.

Junior 1:"Hey those jocks are beating the shit out of that emo kid"

Junior 2:"Don't worry, its that same hipster who said we listen to gay, garbage mainstream music"

Junior 1:"Oh yeah, that's worse, to hell with emo hipsters"

An Emo boy that,while still be a whiney self concious Emo kid,acts like he's the best Emo boy that ever existed,and lectures other Emo kids on things like veganism and enviromentalism,in turn gaining ALOT of attention and respect in the Emo community.

My ex. boyfriend : "blah,blah,blah,vegans can't do this,blah blah blah,gay rights,blah,blah,the right way to make a vegan taco is blah,blah,blah..."

Me: "ZOMFG Damien your such an emo jesus,wanna makeout?"

[emo kid]

an emo kid isn't someone who sits in the back of class crying all day about how horrible the world is.they also don't sit at home cutting their wrists either{some do but not everyone}we're not morbidly depressed or obsessed with hurting ourselves.we do actually have the capacity to be happy.emo means emotional.we're more in touch with our feelings than your average person.we don't hate the world but rather see it as beautiful but also see how humanity has destroyed it{deal with it}the general bulk of a true emo kid's life is typically music.we listen to whatever we feel like because we like it not because it's"the current cool song" you can't define a true emo kid,they define themselves.

That emo kid staring out of the window writing poetry on the bus is the only who'll ever understand.

Nu Emo

The more modern day version of 'Emo.' Usually, they seem to be more happier than a regular Emo and dress in much more flashy, bright outfits.

Not to be confused with 'Scene.'

The key factor that separates Nu Emo from Scene is that Nu Emo kids have a more calm hair-style and are generally depressed, whiny, and hate their life (like a regular emo) even if they don't show it in public.

Similar to Scemo, but has it's differences.

Dave: Look at that stupid scene fag lol.
Sally: He's not scene. I see him crying in between classes. He's a nu emo fag.
Dave: oh. still gay.

Emo Kid

Someone who usually has short, black choppy hair with a side fringe bang that covers most of their face. They wear funky punkish clothes that are totally random and unexpected and in my book {really cool}. Their hair sometimes has one or two strands of un natural hair color such as red, pink, green, purple, ect. Very original style; both the guys and girls wear black nailpolish and eyeliner...oh by the way emo stands for any of the following:emotional punk movement, emotional hardcore, or just emotional. Emo kids are usually quiet and iscolated...they see themselves as outcasts. Also, emo has alot to do with the music, not just fashion and groups. If you dont listen to emo music, which is usually dark and depressing, you are not emo. Not all emos have suicidal thoughts and cut themselves;this is just a stereotype!!! Also, they hate it when you confuse them with scene, goth, or punk kids because they are all VERY different genres. You can usually find an emo kid sitting alone somewhere, or with a very small group of other emos, writing poetry, into a good book, or doing something creative. That's really all it is, creativity and being yourself.

Emo Kid: Somewhat overly emotional person who dresses in mostly black and some color who listens to emo music, such as My chemical romance, Sunny Day Real estate, Mineral, saetia, Indian summer, ect.
