freedom of speech: you (any living person no matter what) can say what they want when they want. they shall not be killed, harmed, etc... by anyone who hears/sees his/her viewpoint.
Jena says on Facebook that all lives are equally important, and Facebook takes it down, that is not letting someone have freedom of speech. Alex says I think we should vote in person and people shut his viewpoint down, that is not letting him have freedom of speech. but when a guy gets on the tv and says his beliefs/ thoughts without being cancelled that IS freedom of speech

That is not what freedom of speech means and you're perfectly fine with people being condemned and criticized.
Hym "Nooo Russell. That ain't what freedom of speech means. You know that. You know what it means. It means you can say whatever you want. You are free to speak. Freedom. You're either free or you're not. In the same way that you're either a crippled assburger with a visibily defunct mind or you're not. Getting molested by Amber doesn't make you a real person Elon. See? You can just say whatever. Your tainted and neglected offspring will never love you. Unlike most men I'm willing to fuck trans girls so how old is your he/she son? Did Joe's daughters turn 18 yet and do they want to make an easy 200 million? I've been building up fat so my bitch-tits are extra jiggly right now."

A classic gem from r/ultraleft. Often used when someone simps for the petite bourgeoisie/acts like mere worker co-ops will bring about socialism, which makes them look like Mussolini.
Person 1: "Capitalism shut down my local coffee shop. Capitalism can suck it"

When one of your friends has to make an oral report but doesn't know what to say. He then proceeds to awkwardly talk about cheeseburgers for the next 20 minutes. Everyone in the classroom is dumbfounded.

A required high school class were you seperate yourself from the rest of the class in a seperate computer room with your partner and hear things behind you (such as footsteps and bridgettes).

A lot of sophisticated sounding words covering a flawed, irrational framework.
a particular variety of "begging the question" in which the very things the author criticizes, he also uses to support his own position.
Derived from Social Psychologist/Philosopher John Haidt's attacking arguments against Sam Harris, over Harris' $10,000 challenge for someone to provide a written argument compelling enough to change Harris' mind re: the central premise in the book, "The Moral Landscape."
Exemplified in this article: www.thisviewoflife.com/index.php/magazine/articles/why-sam-harris-is-unlikely-to-change-his-mind10
Haidt writes early on:
" Nobody has yet found a way to “debias” people—to train people to look for evidence on the other side—once emotions or self-interest are activated."

"Saying human reason is a failure in battling emotions... except when it isn't... is pure Haidt-speech."
Yet later, provides a direct counter example:
"This is why science works so well. Scientists suffer from the confirmation bias like everybody else, but the genius of science as an institution is that it incentivizes scientists to disconfirm each others’ ideas, and it creates a community within which a reasoned consensus eventually emerges."
