Seeing Double

Seeing the same thing twice. Not a deja vu, but a reoccurring motive. Seeing Double can occur when a behaviour or action is copied, and presented. It leads to a question of authenticity.

When Andrew copied Jimmy, I swore I was seeing double! It's like it had all been done before, with a lack of originality in Andrew's performance.

Speeding Ticket

(NOUN): A summons issued to a coworker or employee when they screw up a task because of task saturation. Or a summons your spouse issues to you for screwing something up even though you are managing a thousand things correctly.

e.g., 1) My boss keeps giving me more sh*t to do just so he can give me a speeding ticket for messing up a task. 2) My wife is always giving me speeding tickets when I screw up and when I give her a speeding ticket, she always figures out how to turn it around and issue the speeding ticket back at me.

Envious; Jealous; feeling envious; feeling jealous.

If seeing red means very angry, well technically seeing green is being envious and/or jealous.

1. He is seeing green on their brand new Nike.
2. Seeing green is not a healthy emotions.

plug seeking

The often desperate plight of the smartphone user. Said users are always looking for another hit of electricity to sustain the user's ever-increasing demand for power to support 3G and other intensive battery-draining device activities. Plug seekers can often be identified publicly in airports, coffeehouses or sitting along the walls of conference sessions.

A: Why is Barbara sitting all alone in the corner? Is she being anti-social today?
B: Nah -- she's plug seeking, and it's the only place she could find an open outlet. Another half-hour and she'll be forcibly powered down. Then you'll see anti-social.
