preppy

It used to mean a generally intelligent person who wore classy and timeless clothes from brands such as Ralph Lauren, J.Crew, Lacoste, and Brooks Brothers, but now it has become a stupid excuse for rich brats to look smart. They still wear the same expensive stuff, too bad they have no friggen clue how to do the hundred dollar tie they just got for Christmas.

Pretty much anyone from Fairfield County, Connecticut, with the exception of me and a couple others. Sure, I wear Brooks Brothers myself, but I actually tuck my Oxford in and no what the purpose of a collar is.

these stupid definitions aren't really what a preppy person is, it's what a person who is judged "preppy" in some pointless public high school in the middle of nowhere. a real prep is someone who is subtle, usually popular, who wears polo, lacoste, or j crew and come from preppy schools. they usually go to prep or private schools. they vacation on the massachusetts coast and islands, or quiet islands in the carribean. sports include skiing, tennis, golf, hockey, and more. they never gel their hair. the overall look is just clean, and everything is colored and/or plaid. shoes might be fur moccasins or ugg slippers, and sandals someone who wears armani exchange or abercrombie is not preppy, they just give into trends of their public high school (in the middle of nowhere). they come from preppy families. a lot of times they have unique names. they dont always have a ton of money, but need to be well off (polo and lacoste are expensive)

Preppy Redneck

The Preppy Redneck is essentially a wannabe classic redneck who's rich daddies buy everything for them. They are often members of private schools, drive mint condition full size trucks with lift kits, wear Carhartt, Costas and camo ball caps. The Preppy Redneck never actually hunts, fishes, or goes to the river. They simply love to show off their rebellious ideations without actually rebelling. You'll find the preppy redneck possessing either a George Lucas beard or a goatee. Local women completely lose all logic and self respect over the Preppy Redneck man. They are found primarily in suburban Alabama and Georgia.

Hipster: Sweet Yah, that preppy redneck's existential purpose is nearly as ironic as my wardrobe!

Preppy Redneck: Hey gurl, how about we get some new cowboy boots with my unemployment check then go to my daddie's house and gave terrible sex under my camo blanket?

Redneck: Boi, get yer dadgum sissy little ass outta this town til you learn to be a real good ol' boi!

preppy chicago teens

A species on its own, the preppy chicago teens. You can find these kids at certain schools around chicago, and with an exception of the kids who were too broke to go to private school but still consider themselves “preppy” and “upper class”. Ignatius, loyola, parker, latin, regina are full of preppy individuals. These kids wear vineyard vines EVERYTHING, girls usally have a vera bradley id, lily pulitzer skirt or shorts and tory burch sandals or jack rogers. When wintertime hits chicago the preppies wear a Patagonia jacket and Patagonia snap-T fleece underneath to keep extra warmth. Boat shoes are common and girls wear hunter boots or uggs. The preppies of chicago all live in Lincoln park, gold coast, river north, lakeview and somewhat around there. On the weekends they hangout in a large group with their other preppy friends and go get tonys burrito mex (a local taco place) around lakeview. Some preppy boys don’t hangout becuase they are too busy playing hockey for a triple A team. Most preppies also have a membership to midtown, east bank club or a local country club. Usally the girls on the weekends go out to eat at summer house santa Monica, hampton social or any place with a cute wall or sign for their insta.
