lead-on

An action or saying, usually done by a female, that's supposed to hint to a guy to 'make a move' or 'ask me out'.

Sometimes guys will see "signs" that are not meant to lead them on, then the guy acts on it, the girl is weirded out, and the friendship is affected forever.

Other times guys are, apparently, oblivious to signs that girls make, which frustrates the girl. Sometimes she's frustrated to the point that she'll just forget about him and move on.

Joe: I'll never find the right girl.
Jane: Sometimes they're right under your nose, and you've known them all along.
Joe: Where am I gonna find a girl like that?
Jane: Uggh! Forget it!
Joe: Huh?

Grace Slick of the Jefferson Airplane was a smoking fox back in the 1960s and 1970s. Now, she is hardly a silver fox. But you would still bang her because you can brag about fucking Grace Slick; a legacy fuck. Of course, when you do tell everyone about having sex with Grace Slick, you would refrain from revealing when and how much K-Y jelly you went through to slick up the Slick. That does not matter. What does, is that you came inside a sex symbol. Hey, they (Elizabeth Taylor, Tara Reid, Anne Bancroft, Monroe, Janice Dickinson, etc.) still look great on Google Images, which is the medium through which most see said "legacy fuck."

lead zeppelin

Lead Zeppelin refers to how Led Zeppelin achieved there name, when drummer Keith Moon from band, "The Who" said that they'd go down like a lead balloon (which at the time was a british expression meaning that theyd fail horribly) when asked to join the band. Led Zeppelin later took this term and used it as there name but changes the spelling to "Led" to avoid pronounciation errors.

"that'll go down like a lead balloon",
it wasnt actually Lead Zeppelin it was Lead Balloon,
and Led Zeppelin was the name of the band,
