Get the hipsterismmug. Originally a word for 1930's Jazz enthusiasts; the word "Hipster" has since been applied to a vaguely defined and semi-mythical counter-culture movement allegedly centered around socialising at overpriced coffee shops and listening to bands that You have never heard of.
Few of these peculiar hominids have ever been seen by man, and most footage is unverifiable.
As of the early 2010's the word also became an acceptable way of insulting anybody who's tastes differ to your own, in any way, and as a result, has completely lost all meaning.

Get the Hipstermug. A hipster is any male/female in their 20s who lives in culturally stimulating parts of cities. They are proficient in all things deemed "indie", and are most likely all photographers and in a band at some point in their lives. They subsist on unknown bands, in the attempt to break away from mainstream media and show how non-conformist they are.
All hipsters have a love for local art, and will protest the destruction of buildings suffering from urban decay, as they are "art treasures".
Also, they know more than you in all things, including (but not limited to): Politics, music, witty banter, being ironic, fashion, and what is cool.
Usually, they can be seen wearing vintage clothing, ironic tees, tight pants, or some form of button up with suspenders and a tie, no matter what the temperature. May be sporting one of those "paperboy" hats from the 1930s, but if not, will have an odd haircut that is usually cut by a friend.
Warning: Hipsters become offended at being called a hipster, and will deny it at all times. Don't let them fool you...If they have several of the above listed facts, you've got a hipster on your hands.

Get the Hipstermug. A person who believes (1) they are too unique to exist, and (2) they are not a hipster, or (3) they are a hipster, but only because of the irony.
Detests Corporate America, except when it benefits them., eg., their Ebay vintage store, or their collection of iProducts used to update their EBay vintage store. Loves and/or hates bands you will never hear of. Lives in, or wants to move to, an urban conclave of hipsters, even though, when asked, that's NOT where they live or want to live.
Feels that the majority of everything in society sucks, except for their world view, which is actually nothing more than their self-created narcissistic oasis, and which consists primarily of their obsession with their genitals/libido, and other hipsters they let in their club.
Very similar to pre-pubescent Goths and Indies, but older, and with better self esteem and different fashion. Is basically unattractive, yet maintains the hipster mystique because it somehow gets them just enough random sex to maintain the hipster mystique. Does/doesn't click to review this definition because of the irony.
