Rock-Bottom Collectable

A possession, held by a collector, that means so much to them they would have to really experience an all-time low in life to even be tempted to part with it.

Invaders could be bombing my neighborhood intent on occupying my home, and this is the item I’m still taking with me as I flee, because I’m not parting with it unless I absolutely have to do so because I’ve otherwise hit rock-bottom, so this is my rock-bottom collectable. Alternatively:

I treasure this collectable so much, I don’t know what kind of rock-bottom scenario I would have to encounter to give this item up, I just pray I never do. Let my family sell it once I’m gone to help pay for my funeral.

rock sampler

Slang word for Scientists, or someone who believes in the most outlandish things.

Commonly said in the form of "sample rock taker."

The term is outlandish in nature, as it will immediately downplay and confuse anyone who you say this to.

"Rock samplers are scientists or people who believe in the most outlandish things."

1: "Shut up you samplerocktaker, that's why you believe the earth is flat, + ratio, + that's not even science, you're just retarded.

1. A rickety, unreliable two wheeled vehicle, powered by one or two men.
2. A bad situation that one should get themself out of.

1. That sure was a bumpy ride in that ramshackle rickshaw.
2. Remember when border patrol caught us trying to bring that prostitute back to the states with us? Now that was one ramshackle rickshaw I'll never forget.

Comedy Rock Revival

The musical movement beginning in mid-2006 in which many comical musicians started gaining popularity. The re-emergence of "Weird Al" Yankovic showed the first signs and other artist such as Bo Burnham and The Lonely Island also pioneered this movment.

Note: This genre is a continuation of the original comedy rock rock movement, also started by "Weird Al" Yankovic

Note: Comedy rock is NOT referring to rock music that is humorous. The "rock" part does not necessarily mean that the music is rock.

The Comedy Rock Revival was one of the best movements in music history!

Laundry Rock

Overproduced, melodic, often folky and/or sometimes "indie" sounding music used in advertisements by large companies to market their products and services to young and/or hip consumers. There is a caveat to this definition as sometimes well established bands and artists license their music to these very companies for use in such advertisements. The term itself refers to laundry detergent ads, which are repeat offenders for this type of "la-la," feel good music.

Typically, acoustic guitars, glockenspiels, banjos and electro-mechanical keyboards (such as a wurlitzer piano) are common timbres heard in a laundry rock piece. Also common are soft sounding, layered male or female vocals.

Person Two: Psh, dude, chillout. They were supposed to go on at 10:00 Indie Rock Standard Time (IRST). Look, they're about to go on now. Right on time.
