The trend in fashion where style-obsessed men & women take great pleasure in wearing rain boots, rain coats, etc. Especially popular in Southern California, where the rarity of rain meets the vanity of superficial people, rain couture is best embodied in the excitement people display before rain because they get to wear their overly-expensive coat for once.

Rain Check

A word improperly used when trying to let someone down that you have no interest in thinking it will put them down lightly. When in reality it only ticks them off because you couldn't just be upfront and tell them No. It's improperly used because they never cash it in which is the whole point of a raincheck.

nerd rain

The phenomenon where a significant population of nerds begin sweating at a conference with an intensity so strong that the heat from the room evaporates the nerdy sweat and condensates the abominable liquid at the roof of the conference, resulting in a roof showering the conference goers with an odoriferous acid rain.
