good providence

A term used to say "good luck and good life." Used at the end of a conversation as a way to say goodbye. Usually the term is reserved for someone who is doing particularly noble but dangerous work.

A: "Well I've started a new clinic and have to be going now."
B: "Wow, you've opened a new clinic. Ok, Good Providence."
A: "Thank you!"

Providian

Predatory lender Providian Financial Corporation originally located in San Francisco, recently bought by WAMU aka Washington Mutual.

According to the documentary, Maxed Out, Providian was fined $400 Million by the government for cheating their customers with undeserved 'late' and 'overlimit' fees.

Serbian Promise

A special type of promise, whilst appearing sincere and genuine is never ever actually carried out. Often followed by insanely unbelievable excuses and lies, in an effort to subdue the expectations of it ever being fullfilled.

(Milan) Hey do you want to go the city? I have the car and I will drive so you can drink? No Serbian promise here, trust me.

(George) "Yeah sure I will see you at the time arranged".

(Milan) Sorry man, but my friend Bogdan reckons that the tyre pressure on my car will cause it to explode if I take it anywhere tonight".
