An earthquake that has an epicenter in or near an area being struck simultaneously by a hurricane/tropical cyclone. The first recorded occurrence of a hurriquake was August 20, 2023, when a 5.1 tremor struck Ojai, California while Tropical Storm Hilary was traveling up the Southern California coastline.

Guy 1: Dude, my phone just got blown up with an earthquake warning, a tropical storm warning, and a flash flood warning.

Guy 2: I think we just had the first hurriquake.
