You Shay?

A term used when making sure someone understands something. It likely comes from a mix of the phrase "You don't say" and the word touche. No one knows why it means what it's come to mean.

Coach: Ok so I need you to go around like this and then I need you to stay on defense Bobby, you shay?
Bobby: Yes, coach!

Da "uh-uh" response dat someone gives by swiveling their head back and forth several times.

If someone is less than intensely-vehement about declining whatever is being requested/suggested, he may just silently perform da "shay-kuh, shay-kuh, shay-kuh, shay-kuh!" routine, rather than resorting to da more-noisy lips-spluttering dissent like he would if he was acutely distressed/horrified at said proposal.
