A person who waits until they see or know what the food is to decide if they're hungry or not
It's typically picky eaters who brush of their pickyness with "I'm not hungry"

Person 1: I'm so hungry
Person 2: It's curry stir-fry for dinner
Person 1: I'm not hungry
Person 2: You got Shrodingers hunger, huh?

A Hunger Games Effect

An effect often seen in books of the dystopian genre where the author inserts a slew of unfortunate, jarring events that leave the reader astonished and speechless, especially if a beloved character dies suddenly with little time to grieve.

In the book Mockingjay, from The Hunger Games Trilogy, the death of the character Finnick Odair shows A Hunger Games Effect in full force, where he dies so suddenly, it’s almost comical.

A movie that would start to get interesting if it were about the contestants were actually hungry enough to eat each other to survive, but it's not, so it stays mind numbingly plain and dull.
