The new, English, non-gendered, third-person singular, personal pronoun. Used in the following circumstances: (1) when the gender of the person/entity is unknown, (2) to refer to persons who wish to be identified as gender neutral, (3) to refer to generless items that have been humanized, and to refer to genderless persons/animals.
