two weeks

When you're out with your friends and you see a really obese girl/woman nearby, instead of saying to your friends “look at the size of that fat ass over there” which isn’t exactly subtle, you say “Two Weeks” and look in the direction of the target fat ass.

If they’re much larger than your average ‘two weeker’ you start with “two weeks” and then someone else might say “four weeks” and this repeats until you get to a period of time you all agree on.

“Two weeks” comes from the film ‘Total Recall’ In the film Douglas Quaid played by Arnold Schwarzenegger returns to Mars inside a robot fat woman suit. Arriving on Mars the robot woman’s head malfunctions and starts repeating the phrase “Two Weeks” before exploding.

28 Weeks Later

The sequel to the somewhat decent 28 Days Later. Lacks much of the style of the first movie, instead focusing on tension and lots of screaming and running away.

It should be noted that 99% of this film seems to have been shot in the dark. Not like "hey it's a little hard to see" but more like Blair Witch Project-style pitch blackness. Annoying as hell, if you ask me.

two weeks into the future

The near future.

Exactly how far into the future is ambiguous, but it generally refers to anywhere from five to fifty years. Far enough into the future to be noticeably different from the present, but not far enough to be unrecognizable from the present.

Can also be "twenty minutes into the future", "five minutes into the future", and so forth. In this context, "two weeks" (or "twenty minutes" or "five minutes") is exagerrated the same way "that is so five minutes ago" is an exaggerated way of saying something is days or weeks out of date, or "this is taking all day" is an exaggerated way of saying something is taking too long.
"I just read a really good science fiction novel. You should check it out if you're into that sort of thing."

"Is it really futuristic, like Star Wars? With flying cars and ships and laser guns and laser swords? That kind of stuff?"

"No, it's more of a 'two weeks into the future' sort of thing."
