It stands for Team Fortress Classic, a mod for the original half-life game, wherein you choose a class and are given several different weapons. The game has since lost popularity and has become almost completely dead, which is a shame, because the game was quite a decent one.

If you're lucky and have your antenna set juuuust right, then you might be one of the chosen few who can receive Advanced TFC, where you can tune in fuzzy, but barely watchable Global.

Fuck cable, I grew up with TFC, and I turned out fine.
