The unfortunate condition that, during Supreme Court confirmation, both causes nominees to completely misrepresent their position on key political issues and allows nieve congressional law makers to accept those prevarications on face value, thus rendering the court incapable of representing the constituency on which it is ostensibly derived.
Kavanaugh, Barrett, et al seem to have misrepresented their position on Roe v Wade.
REALLY?! No shit. How you feelin’ about some Supreme Court justice mendacity? Next they’ll be looking at disarming America for its own good.

Get the bulldoze the supreme courtmug. Is the final court of appeal of the UK and replaced the Law Lords. Due to parliamentary sovereignty cannot overturn primary legislation, but can overturn secondary legislation, if it is found to be ultra vires (illegal). Created by the outgoing Labour Government in Oct 2009 with the express mandate of making the life of all subsequent Tory Governments an absolute nightmare. The only qualification required of the appointed 12 judges is that they be complete and utter wankers.
Appellant A: Do you know which of those Supreme Court judges are sitting on our case.
Appellant B: No, and I wouldn't raise your hopes to high, I'm told they don't know their arses from their elbows.
Appellant A: I guess they'll just lean on their elbows!

Get the Supreme Courtmug. The official name of the court building at Kent and Wellington Streets in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Sometimes it is colloquially and erroneously called "The Supreme Court Building" (even by experienced journalists) because it houses the Supreme Court of Canada. But it is officially called the "Supreme Court and Federal Courts Building" because the Federal Court of Appeal and the Federal Court also both regularly sit in their own courtrooms within the building.
I'm going to the Supreme Court and Federal Courts Building to watch a Federal Court of Appeal hearing.

Get the Supreme Court and Federal Courts Buildingmug. The process of adding more seats to the Supreme Court.
Recently, this is a plan pushed by the left to regain control of the Court, after President Trump shoved three conservative justices in, by adding four of their own. Since the sitting justices have life-long terms, this strategy is their next best shot.
As one might expect, the possibility of replacing one bias with another has made this a bit of a hard sell.

A: We need to expand the Supreme Court, or else they'll demolish LGBT rights, overturn Roe V. Wade, and pare down minority voting rights!
B: Is this really the best way to do that?
A: It is if you aren't willing to get locked up for gunning down Kavanaugh and ACB.

In the April 2025 Supreme Court ruling For Women Scotland vs The Scottish ministers the ruling used the phrase "These are assumed to be self-explanatory and to require no further explanation", which is a variation on the "this is left as an exercise for the reader" and "It is self-evident that...", both forms of "Proof by Intimidation" used by junk science

- I can't be bothered explaining, I'll just Supreme Court it and hope they don't challenge me.
- "Did you just Supreme Court this and hope nobody would notice?"
- "Well, honestly... it's clearly self-evident?"
