A high class vacation that quickly turns from caviar and champagne, to spam and colt 45. Named in honor of the Carnival Cruise ship Splendor which got sidetracked due to fire.

Our trip to Venice got cancelled, so instead we drove to El Segundo and just had a Spamcation

When the boss goes on vacation, or for some other reason is out of the office and the employees that stay behind get a vacation from petty micro-managing.

Work should be pretty relaxed tomorrow with Bob away at that training. It should be a nice staycation!

A period of time, slightly longer than normal, one goes without shaving. Ususally associated with the holidays and comes to an end in early January. Can be intentional or unintentional. In the common case of beards - the shavecation usually upsets a wife or girlfriend, and is often incorrectly mistaken for laziness.

Barbara: "Sheesh, you look like you've been on a month-long shavecation"

Walter J: "Don't worry boss, the beard will go at the end of my shavecation. See you next week"
