Someone waving the rebel flag is proud of their southern heritage and everything that comes with it. Such as slavery, hatred of the united states(or the north to be more specific), belief that the only way to be successful in life is to grow and sell tobacco and/or cotton. If you find yourself reading this and are currently waving the flag, but do not believe yourself to be a supporter of any of the facts mentioned above, take down that flag!
"Hey Billy, is that your dad?"
"No way that's just Leroy, our slave. My dad is obsessed with the civil war and always is waving around that rebel flag. He thought it would be a good idea to get a slave too. Go figure."

A rag often seen displayed by members of the lower class. Symbolizes the frustration of losers who cannot succeed or thrive in civilized society. Most often displayed by those with little real power or influence. Wavers of this flag usually know that they occupy a low station in life and use the flag as a means of expressing their frustration. The love of this flag is often passed down from generation to generation of losers. Sometimes the rebel flag is displayed with the American Flag further demonstrating the lack of basic knowledge of US History. If you see a rebel flag carefully observer the displayer and note the pathetic nature of the flag waver. Often these ignorant rednecks travel in packs. Most sightings of the rebel flag will be at NASCAR races, stuck to the windows of trucks parked in front of the unemployment office or temporary work agency, or Baptist Church parking lots in Georgia and South Carolina. Never will you see this flag displayed by a southerner around groups of blacks as most rednecks are cowards.
Junior lost his rebel flag window sticker when his truck was repossessed by the title loan company.

The Confederate states of America's Version of the Saint Andrews cross. Also seen in the national flag of Scottland and England. Although often thought to be a racist symbol, a deeper look into the origins of it will prove other wise. Seen as a sign of pride for one herritage and location. The CSA were knows as rebels during this period, hince the "Rebel Flag"
Do some damn research before you call something racist. Less then 1% of White southerners use the REBEL FLAG as a symbol of racism. So calling it racist would be like saying all that since blacks are the majority in jails, this means they commit more crimes then others.

A flag that ISN'T racist, contrary to what Blacks and liberals will tell you. It is a symbol of pride and heritage to Southerners, while also being a symbol of rebellion and pillaging invaders to millions of people like me in the Midwest and even in the South. Controversies and conflicts over this flag are no doubt the strongest within the Deep South involving the black community.
Here in the southern Midwest, however, it is seen differently. Yes, thousands of people still see it as a symbol of racism, BUT it also represents the Southern Confederate armies and raiders that invaded northwestern/north-central Kentucky throughout the Civil War. They were the ones to break the neutrality of the border state Kentucky and tread upon its soil. They launched attacks on towns and Union garrisons, while the raiders pillaged towns and stores, burned courthouses, abused several citizens during their 4-year reign of terror. Only the efforts and counter-marching of Union forces in the Western Theater, and the determination of Kentucky Home Guards to defend their state against the Southern bastards were what stopped these raiders and armies.

I DO NOT see the Rebel Flag as a symbol of racism. As a native of northwestern Kentucky, I see it rather as a symbol of those Southern invaders that attacked my home and its people, tried to destroy the United States, and bring Kentucky into a Southern Confederacy of which it did not belong in. Fortunately, the efforts of the Rebels were stopped.

The rebel flag is often used to show southern pride, and pride in ones southern heritage. However, it is also used as hate symbol for racism and white supremacy. In this, it is similar to the swastika, Which falsely known as belonging to the Nazis. For all these reasons, it's considered unwise to fly the rebel flag.

ok to all you idiotic yankees out there. the rebel flag is merely a symbol of southern pride and heritage. As a matter of fact Alabama has a higher academic standard than most nothern states. There are more intelligent thinkers that come from the south than anywhere else. Now down to business and to deal with all you racist, predjudice, and retarded opponents of the rebel flag. The rebel flag stands for more than you fucking yankees could ever understand. We all work low class jobs because we enjoy a simple existince. We get joy from things like NASCAR, mud riding, and playing guitar, and if you tried any of it instead of making fun of us for it, you would like it too. Down here we have more fun in our lives than any of you dumbass yankees with a pipe shoved up your asses ever will. I have a rebel flag in my room, 2 bumber stickers on my truck, a licence plate, and my seats are cover with it, and i dare you to get me to take them off. It will never happen.
Because I'm a country boy from the woods and you don't scare me and never will. Oh and to all you fucking retarded yank's out there reading this.. REDNECK DOES NOT OFFEND US, IT IS A COMMPLIMENT. The south will rise again, just as soon as that nigger Obama is president.

The unlucky number 13; this refers to the 13 stars that run along the blue "X" in the flag, which are all those southern states. Two of them do not apply, but are unnecessarily included: Maryland and Kentucky. They're not Southern states.
