denienced

Denied, banned or otherwise forbidden. Was accidentally created on the worldofspectrum.org forums by a Portuguese webmaster whose English wasn't very good, in the classic thread "Activision has joined the DENIENCES section".

"Denienced" has become the standard term on WoS for denied-distribution games; it's also used on the retrospec.sgn.net forums as the member-group for banned users.

Too bad Codemasters titles are denienced, otherwise we could *ahem* pass an ISO of the CD and the corresponding loader TAP/TZX between us *ahem* to help each other out *ahem-ahem-ahem*.

devidere

Devidere: when a character completely ignores the main character, in a feeble attempt to make him/her jealous. Usually devidere's are jealous of other relations their loved ones have and will try to ruin it from the side lines.

Guy:Will you go out with me? Devidere:Did you hear something? *week later*. Guy:will you go out with me? Random girl:Sure. *Devidere gives evil stare*. Girl:Actually... I can't. Sorry!

intellectual deviance

The state of being rebellious to knowledge. Intellectual deviance is most apparant today through the general teenagers' habit of mocking intelligence. "Nerd", "geek", "bookworm", etc. are certain slang-terms used by the populace to describe the intelligent. It is a subcontious fear of being surpassed by those more knowledgeable that causes this mass, ego-induced hysteria. If the knowledgable surpass one man, that man will soon become inferior, and therefore, no longer feel needed. (Feeling needed is the very definition of ego)

Those insecure children over there laughed at me because I walked into the library. I despise intellectual deviance.
