Sara mask-kissed Hugh softly and while realising she was in fact kissing a piece of plastic and not the sweet lips of her loved one, she got angry and irrational and pierced the mask with her tongue so she could be close to him.

Sara said the situation reminded her of love in the time of cholera.

We do not know how Hugh reacted, we have not heard of him since.

Cholera TV

The original method of motionless picture film invented in 1668. But these early TV's were not without drawbacks, being initially named the "poop soup killer" as when the Cholera TV first came out people were so shocked they literally shit themselves to death en masse. The people left behind were so preoccupied with their motionless picture Cholera TV's they hardly had time to dig mass graves for their friends and comrades.

The random nature of Cholera TV poisoning is also where the phrase "shit out of luck" came from.

Here is an example of a cholera TV in use in dungeons and dragons:
Cholera TV: infect target host with 2d6 visual damage per round to bowels/anus until dead or cleansed
