Buckhead Betty

A female living in the Buckhead area that usually comes from money, marries into money, or constantly searches for their MRS. They are very sheltered and close-minded. Buckhead Betty rarely ventures outside of their comfort zone or try new things. They can usually be found in tennis skirts and Michael Kors jewelry, sipping mimosas with their girlfriends while the rest of society is at work. They love sushi, but will only order California rolls.

I was going to meet up with Erica downtown today but traffic was too bad for her and she refused to use public transportation. I'm shocked at how quickly she's turned into a Buckhead Betty. Bless her heart cause its not flattering.

Mosquito repellent beautyberry gene is a gene that is found in the beautyberry plant, especially in the American Beautyberry. Fresh, crushed leaves of American beautyberry(Callicarpa americana) helped keep biting insects away from animals and humans. Callicarpenal is the chemical that is found in the beautyberry plant that repels mosquitoes. If we genetically modify ourselves and animals such as mice, horses, mules, and donkeys with the Mosquito repellent beautyberry gene, we would produce Callicarpenal and repel mosquitoes.

I genetically modified myself with the Mosquito repellent beautyberry gene and now I don't get bitten by mosquitoes anymore. Yes! Now I produce Callicarpenal.

Berty

The alcoholic demon that possesses Rebeccah when she drinks too much. This alter ego gives no fucks. Berty will dance, laugh,talk to strangers and make you brush her hair, but she will steal your heart with her punny jokes. Berty will also leave behind a maroon jenky comb, which is said to represent the soul of the once innocent "Rebeccah". Berty also likes to do the cupid shuffle and sit on fully loaded pistols. Although a demon, Berty means well, but beware: Berty is like a gremlin: Do not feed or water after midnight.

Brooke: "Is that Rebeccah or Berty?"

Raeann: "She just told someone that they dropped their pocket.. definitely Berty."

Brooke: "Oh no, Berty's on the loose, no one is safe"

Dove Campaign for Real Beauty

A marketing campaign disguised as a Public Service Announcement. A series of ads by Dove/Unilever featuring several thick-waisted, moderately attractive women that are supposed to change the face of beauty, er, sell lots of soap. Mainly appeal to insecure, middle class female bloggers who can't deal with the fact that there are women out there who are thinner and prettier than themselves or their overindulged daughters. The revelation that many of these ads had been heavily airbrushed has pretty much brought this nonsense to an end.

Laura: I bought the Dove firming cream because the Dove Campaign for Real Beauty is trying to make women love their bodies as they are.

Caitlin: If our bodies are beautiful as they are, why do we need firming cream?
