Beantavy

Beantavy originated during a football game between the Army and the Navy when a number of Army students ran on the field donning the letters “BEANTAVY”. Originally, no doubt, desiring to rouse their team to beat their rivals, instead embarrassed themselves by misspelling “BEAT NAVY”. Thus, beantavy was born.

A beantavy is a moment when you attempt to appear mentally, physically, or emotionally stronger than a rival, but come up short by embarrassing yourself through misstep.

Charlie had a beantavy this weekend when he picked a fight with Glen and tripped on the curb.

Some guy cut me off and yelled at me out the window for no reason. Fortunately that cop pulled him over when he saw it. Total beantavy for that guy!
