A word that I originally thought meant "potatoes" in Hindi. Then some old indian lady told me that batakas didn't mean anything at all, so I just started saying it as an indian sound effect, and "batakas" quickly became popular among white people in Wichita, KS.

Potato is a vegetable/betrood, that can be used for many purposes.

To fry, and make the famous "french fries", or just "chips", if you buy them from the supermarket's bags.

To boil, making a delicious, and healthy meal. You can then, mash them, doing mashed potato.
