Aeropostale

A mall store similar to Hollister but cheaper and less popular. It’s peak was in the 2000s. Now mostly just high school girls and Hispanic guys shop at it.
Victoria: I’m gonna go into Hollister.
Valerie: I like Aeropostale better so I’m going in there.

Clothing store targeted at preteens and young teens from upper-middle-class families. Their products are available in smaller sizes and often at lower prices than stores such as Abercrombie and American Eagle. Some, but not all, Aero products are more appropriate for middle school students; examples include monkeys, turtles, and the butterfly logo on girls' clothing. Store also sells jewelry, purses, and shoes.
"Mom, for my 13th birthday can I have one of those Aeropostale sweatshirts with the monkeys on them?"

No, but really, I like Aeropostale. (Not the things that have the weird butterfly logo, though. I have to agree with you on that one.)

P.S. I'm not a prep or a prep wannabe, nor do I go to junior high.

Aeropostale

A reasonable store, with clothes that have pretty good quality. Now updated w/ the new A87 logo. Appeals to boys and girls ranging from about 8-18. Many people say its a "wanna-be" prep store, when in actuality, Hollister, is not preppy, more surfer-like. Much less expensive than Abercrombie, & Hollister. When not on sale shirts can range from about $8-$25, jackets: $20-80, jeans: $15-40. When on sale prices can be up to 70%. Hollister, A&E,& A & F have nice things too, but are much more pricey. Nice stuff, good quality, inexpensive. For the middle-class family. If you dont like it, dont even bother to look at the store. & get over your "fake" preppy selves :) ! & A&F, and Hollister are tying to sell there stuff way less expensive because they may be going out of business.
Claudia: - I like your shirt :). Where did you get it.
Ashton: - Aeropostale! It was only 11 bucks!
Claudia: - Cool, thats much less than Hollister.
Ashton: - I know, Hollister is okay too, but Aeropostale is wayy much better for your wallet, and personal style

Okay. First of all, contrary to what everyone in here is basically saying; AEROPOSTALE IS NOT A PREP STORE.
Nor is Abercrombie or AE. Prep stores are; Lilly Pullitzer, Lacoste, Saks, Dillards etc. I personally shop at all these places. Too everyone who is talking down on people who shop at Aeropostale; It isn't a store for poor people. Nor is AE and Abercrombie. It's no where near as trashy, and people who shop there have some taste. Aeropostale clothes are much more durable and actually quite cuter than AE and Abercrombie clothes.
Basically all that AE, Abercrombie, and Aero are is teen trend stores. To everyone saying your poor if you shop at aero, face it. Your pretty poor yourself if you don't shop at lilly and lacoste. I'm not calling you poor I'm just saying your basically calling yourself poor (:
Seeing as how AE and Abercrombie and Aeropostale prices are basically the same. Oh my goodness why do people sterotype so much? I have friends who shop at walmart and hot topic and everywhere in between and beyond.
Being prep is a lifestyle, it's not 100% about the clothes you wear. Honestly. Real preps are raised with manners and class and have been taught not to judge because of appearance.
Camery; HEY! Let's go to Saks I heard they just got some more Dooney and Bourke in! Awwhhhh look at that cute little girl shopping in Aeropostale! She's on her way to being a slylin' member of society!

In the past, this clothing store may have catered to the middle schoolers of America, but recently they have adapted a much more mature style. (And I do NOT mean mature as in slutty.)

I actually work for the company, we sell to many different demographics, not just upper-middle class families. Because our clothes are inexpensive (not cheap), we can sell to everyone who has a similar style interests as more expensive stores in the mall.

Pros of Aero:

1. You do not need a gas mask to be able to breath while shopping.
2. You don't need a flashlight to be able to see while shopping. (The other stores keep it so dark because they don't want you to see the price tags.)
3. Cute clothes with more durability for inexpensive prices.

Cons of Aero:
1. I can't wear tennis shoes to work.
Girl 1: Man, I only have $20 left from my paycheck and need a new outfit for my date tonight.
Girl 2: Well, we can always go to Aeropostale. Cute and affordable ftw. =)

An affordable clothing brand in which the shirts get holes in them after wearing them one or two times.
My aeropostale polo has a hole in it already? I only had it on once.
