To be in a state of inflicted normality. See also OVER and UNDER whelm.

Not technically a word, but by all logic, it should be.

As referenced in "Clueless": You can be overwhelmed, and you can be underwhelmed, but can you just be whelmed?

whelmed

The definition of overwhelmed or underwhelmed is a variant of to much or to little of an expected emotion, that would mean whelmed would be an exact feeling of emotion that was previously expected.

1) The first movie was terrible . As a result i was whelmed with the results of the sequel.
( note that whelmed can only be truly understood by people who know or understand your feeling before the events that you are describing in said sentence.)

To be so thoroughly unmoved by something that even being underwhelmed is too much effort. A state of complete apathy.

So overwhelmed with incoming email/texts/messages that you are unable to form any responses... even to the simplest of queries.

She was so e-whelmed that when her mother texted "What would you like for dinner?" she sat paralysed, non-responsive, and mentally vacant.

it affects you normally, and you know how to deal with it. Basically your chill instead of over panic or under panic.

Instead of overwhelm and underwhelm why cant we just be whelm?
