workout poser

someone who poses as someone who works out to help their personal self-esteem. Often thought to be males who walk around gyms not using the equipment, spending a lot of time at the gym but giving minimum effort. However since the "selfie" females are as common as men, taking full body pictures in the mirror without doing much (if anything) at all. Showing their online friends they are trying to get into shape (or why they stay in shape) without giving effort. Different ways of accomplishing the same goal. Building confidence at the gym without putting in work.

1st workoutaholic "bro, look at that girl. She's been here for a good half hour and hasn't done anything but stand by the mirror."

Workout Boner

(n.) Visible excitement regarding the activity at hand. Generally caused by, but not limited to, working out, especially in awkwardly short shorts.

It's unsettling to be trapped on a treadmill 5 feet away from a guy with his workout boner for fitness.

workout impostor

One who walks around in workout or gym-like clothing to give the effect that they have worked out or gone to the gym today or are planning to work out or go to the gym today when in reality they have not or are not going to. One usually does this to make oneself feel better about their physique or to seem like they are physically fit when in reality they have done nothing today.

Look at that girl in the nike shorts, under armour shirt and asics sneakers with a pony tail. She is totally a workout impostor. I didn't see her at the track or the gym at all today.
