bittersweet symphony

the most popular song ever released by the Wigan-based Britrock group The Verve on their third and final album, Urban Hymns. Bitter Sweet Symphony was released in 1997 and features a small sample from a Rolling Stones song which caused Verve to be sued for copyright infringement.

Dvorak's "From the New World" is a really good symphony.

symphonic metal

The best kind of metal there is out there. It's got the hardcore drums and guitars of heavy metal, but most of the time beautiful symphonies (like in classical music) are added, mainly by instruments such as acoustic guitar, piano, keyboard, violin. In other words, a brilliant work of art.

Some good symphonic metal bands are Within Temptation, Epica, Delain, Nightwish, Otep, Leaves' Eyes, and Tristania.

One of the best metal bands ever. They make really long songs that aren't repetetive and stay fresH and make you want more. Their synthesizer and guitar solos kick ass.
