powergaming

powergaming, consists in achieving end game results (getting the highest and most favorable output possible) , ignoring everything else that constitutes the game as a whole. Another way to put it in words, would be taking shortcuts in the game in a counter-intuitive way. This practice is common in MMORPGs.

example: a player in an mmorpg doing powergaming would be joining a top ranked guild at starter level with high privileges, ignores the game storyline, skips all quests given except the ones needed to reach end game, ignores advanced tutorials, and gets power leveled to cap with the best gear possible, which would give him or her bragging rights over the rest of the average players.

Powerstance

powergamer

Two definitions:

A) A person who frustratingly attempts to win by all means at tabletop role-playing games.

B) A person who seeks to accomplish everything possible within a videogame - meet all secret goals, get every item, unlock every secret, etc.

A) "Last I heard, he had given himself a man-sized sword. What a powergamer."

B) "You bought and upgraded every 200 cars in that game? Man, you're a powergamer."

Powergamers

1: n. A person who plays tabletop RPGs and seeks to make the most powerful character possible, often in the form of assigning 'useless' stats such as 'charisma' very low values. Any advantage this player they can get, they are likely to take. It is not uncommon for such players to ask to start with rare items their character could or would not have obtained.

Powergamers are different from twinks in that a powergamer generally seeks to have the most powerful character without regard to the rules, while a twink seeks to manipulate the rules to gain a powerful character.

powerpaint presentation

When you have to give a presentation but can't quite figure out how to create charts and graphs in powerpoint, so you just use some drawing program like MS-Paint to make your pictures and paste them in.

Nifty gantt chart in your presentation. I didn't know Powerpoint could do that.
