The order in which you do math first. Applies to equations in parenthesis.

P - Parenthesis (Most inner)
E - Exponents
M - Multiplication
D - Division
A - Addition
S - Subtraction

Pemdas:
2x(3^(8-5/1)) = ?
5/1=5
8-5=3
3^3=27
2x27=54
2x(3^(8-5/1)) = 54
