George Orwell

Famous writter of what appears to be modern society's story told over 50 years ago. Told in his book, 1984, the ideas of a Police State. His book Animal Farm is the story of Stalin's USSR and is a form of "easy reading" compared to 1984. But, 1984 is one of the greatest novels ever written and has rightly deserved it's spot to be forcefully read in classrooms.

Orwellian Right

The Orwellian Right is an ideologically coordinated and well funded group of think tanks, media personalities, as well as print and internet media, which seek to mislead the public by reframing issues in a manner described in George Orwell’s classic book “1984”. In that world Black = White and War = Peace.

After the Reagan tax cuts of 1981, revenues (in constant dollars) did not reach 1981 levels again until 1985. Because irresponsible borrowing to give tax cuts mainly for the wealthy can’t be sold on face value to the Public, the Orwellian Right conveniently ignored the drop in real revenues and redefined the rebound in revenues as “proof” of a Revenue Boom created by the 1981 tax cuts. In reality revenues rose because of natural growth in the economy, inflation, increased defense spending, and two massive Reagan-era take hikes. In the Orwellian world, hundreds of billions in revenue lost over 4 years = a revenue boom.

The Orwell Cycle

A series of years:
1920 1921 1924 1929 1936 1945 1956 1969 1984 2001 2020...
In which cataclysms or great cosmic change occurs in the geopolitical and economic order of the world. Some dates begin wars, others end them. On one, mankind even landed on the moon. They mark eras, and are a continuing trend. This past century, the Orwell Cycle has clearly followed a quadratic curve, the question is, will it continue to do so?

We’ll find out in 2041, when something BIG happens.

#1: Damn, this year sucks. All my plans have been ruined by the coronavirus. Now there’s rioting and the police have gone mad with power...

#2: Calm down, it will pass. At least nobody is dropping the bomb. The Orwell Cycle works in mysterious ways brotha, but you know what they say. Hindsight is 20/20
