digging match

Irish slang for a fight, with 'dig' being another word for punch. Not spontaneous but somewhat pre-arranged between two people who have differences that can't be resolved in a civil fashion.

Cocker and Ronnie haven't being seeing eye to eye recently, they're going to have a digging match. It should be good, Ronnie has a fair dig on him.

Bulgarian Shouting Match

An event that occurs between two or more people in various stalls of a public restroom. It begins when one person farts. If another person should fart and this continues back and forth, it becomes a Bulgarian Shouting Match.

Person #1: Hey, welcome back! How was lunch at that new Korean restaurant?
Person #2: Yeah the kimchi was good! Bathroom crowd was nasty though. I got into a Bulgarian Shouting Match in there!

Often used in fashion blogs. Used to describe an outfit that is too coordinated and consists of too many of the same types of colours, patterns, fabrics, accessories, designer pieces, thematic elements, etc. Can also be used in reference to interior design.

FabSugar on Kate Hudson's all grey outfit: "Before this, I didn't know there were degrees of being matchy matchy."

An argument or contest of wills, often mean-spirited and over trivial or insignificant matters. From the alcohol-induced sport of urinating for distance.

A: "What's with the boss?"

B: "Oh, he got into a pissing match with the head of accounting over last month's travel budget."

A: "So why is he still irritated?"

B: "He lost."

Matching Bowls

v. A term meaning that all parties partaking in a smoke-out donate equal parts of their own weed, if they have any. For instance, if G-Dogg and HomeFry are matching bowls, then for every bowl of G-Dogg's weed that they smoke, HomeFry will pack and share a bowl of his own.

"Let's go smoke. I'll match bowls with you."
