Foxfields

A horse race tradition in northern Virginia frequented especially by UVA students, as well as Georgetown and William & Mary students. Students dress in traditional spring suites and dresses and, due to large amounts of alcohol, tend to be very social.

UVA student at Foxfields (wandering about drunkenly): hey, love the seersucker jacket and salmon pants!
Georgetown student (drunkenly stumbling into UVA student): hey, yeah, thanks; love your salmon jacket and seersucker pants.

Foodie

A proletarian or member of the middle class who occasionally eats quality food, often of the type enjoyed by the higher classes but sometimes "exotic" food of foreign lands. What the foodie calls "gourmet," the upper class or upper middle class will simply call "food." Foodies often enjoy displaying their knowledge of food, which they must acquire since they must prepare it themselves, not having the finanical means to regularly have others prepare it for them.

The foodie pushed aside his TV dinners and bagged corn crisps to make way for the newly-bought fresh produce; tonight, after four hours of preparation, he will dine like a celebrity.

Foodie

A fat kid pretentious enough to think up a special word to describe their desperate longing for anything to shove down their face. They'll often claim to be "food enthusiasts" or to have "refined tastes," but they're usually lying.

"I got tired of telling people I had a 'glandular problem,' so I decided to start calling myself a foodie instead. It frees me of those negative connotations and leaves me to be become as lardy as I see fit."

Foodie Call

(noun) A phone call aimed at getting one thing and one thing only. Not an invite to to go out for a movie, not just coffee, not a casual or formal get-together, just a plain old-fashioned "bring me food" with no strings attached.

Example 1:

Ginger: OMG, did you see the pics of Janet Jackson? She made her first public appearance in months and it looks like she gained 100 lbs!

Jasmine: Wow! She must have been at home making Foodie Calls all this time!

Example 2:

Girl: Can you please cook dinner for me tonight for once?
Boy: Why should I do that when we can just make a Foodie Call?

Example 3:

Single Guy: Ugh, all I have in the kitchen is cereal, soup, and beer and I don't want to miss the game on TV! I better make a Foodie Call if I'm gonna eat something decent tonight!

Foodie

A person who thinks they know everything about food and the origins of food. Usually these people have zero experience actually cooking and also dealing with the stress of a real restaurant environment. They'll create blogs for themselves to create a sense of self worth, often this isn't there real job. These are the same types that hang out at pretentious expensive coffee lounges. They totally destroy a layman's love of food and makes the average person feel like crap for going out to eat.

Foodie: This is totally going onto my blog (takes selfie with dish)
Normal Person: Walks by takes the dish and smashes it of their table and laughs.
