An Australian term for friend or mate. Originated in the trenches at Gallipoli in WW1 and used to identify fellow ANZACs throughout the war.

commonly used as part of a vast culture of extreme sports jargon. Example: "I saw you fly over the handlebars, that was an insane digger"
