A Canadian TV show set in Toronto that fails horribly to represent anything in or around Toronto. Although it is adicting, it shouldn't be set in Toronto because it's really a poor attempt. Do not come to Toronto expecting anything remotely like Degrassi.

Get the Degrassimug. Degrassi is a Canadian TV show franchise comprised of five respective shows. The first Degrassi show aired in 1979 and the last Degrassi show to date aired in 2016.
The general theme of the shows follow children and teenagers as they grow up. Degrassi was/is considered groundbreaking, as the shows touched on many taboo subjects for the times, such as teen pregnancy, same-sex relationships and mental illness.
Degrassi is a large franchise that nurtured many young stars, such as Sara Waisglass, Drake, Nina Dobrev, Jake Epstein, Stephen Amell, Shenae Grimes, and Chelsea Clark.

Get the Degrassimug. One of the best shows around. it is a spin-off of the 80's version. The one today has characters such as "spike", emma's mom, "snake", mr.simpson, joey, craig's stepdad person, and catelin, joey's love. they were on the original degrassi. Degrassi deals with , teen pregnancy, rape, homosexuality, abuse (self, parental, and relationship), bad break ups, stealing, "the breakfast club", STD's, eating disorders, and everything you can imagine.
