Chinua Achebe

Chinua Achebe (1930-2013) was an author who set out to write the story of his Nigerian people that had been left out by Europeans who had colonized his country. He is most famous for writing the fiction book "Things Fall Apart". In "Things Fall Apart", rather than sugarcoating, Achebe illustrates the flaws and strengths of both Igbo (native Nigerian) culture/religion, as well as the flaws and strengths of the colonial British, bringing the religion of Christianity. Through this balanced, realistic approach, Achebe uses fiction as a way to express the truth and reality of Nigeria in the 19th century and British colonialism. "Things Fall Apart" became so popular internationally because people from so many different places could connect with their country being colonized, causing a part of the book to resonate with them. On top of "Things Fall Apart", Achebe wrote many other nonfiction and fiction works as well as poetry, and his beautiful writing is admired in many school classrooms to this day.

chindex

A measure of obesity based on the number of chins on a person. It is quoted as a "chindex of..." or "chindex factor of" followed by a number. A single chin (chindex of 1) generally reflects a lack of obesity. A second chin (chindex factor of 2) suggests the individual is overweight. Chindices, the plural of chindex, that are greater than 2 indicate that the individual is a fat mess. A chindex of 0 suggests the individual lacks a jaw, probably from a medical condition or horrific incident. If you have a chindex of 0, you have a fucked-up lookin' face.

Chinedu

Chinedu is the perfect boyfriend. A ladies man, and probably the only guy that Amaka never disappoints. Usually sweet, sensible, smart, full of charisma, loving, teasing and naughty. He is a no-nonsense person and someone you could count on. His loyalty is never in question.

A guy that is outgoing and friendly. Everyone knows of him but he keeps very few close friends. He can be a really shy person at first, might take some time for you to get to know him, but once you become friends, you'll never regret it.

A bit annoying sometimes but in a good way. He is crazy and fun to be with. He can make you laugh all day. He seems brave, but a very sensitive guy.

Chinedu strives to do things for the better, hardly selfish, observant and family oriented. Once you find a Chinedu you'll love him always. Absolutely amazing guy.
