noun (Dutch nautical slang, c. 17th century)
Definition: The act of wistfully daydreaming at sea that a wild, beautiful twink might appear across the waves.
Origin: From the pseudo-Dutch booboi (“dream”) + gaulkleẽn (“gaze upon the horizon”).
