What the ghost

Another way of saying "what the hell". It originates from the Chinese slang 什么鬼 and it is typically used to expressing shock.

Person #1: Sorry, but you're fired.

Ghosting

When someone cuts off all communication with another person without any explanation. This person will not answer any calls, texts, emails, etc. and will completely ignore the other person for a long period of time not letting the other person know what they did wrong.

Isabella- “Has he texted you?”
Marie- “No, I think he’s ghosting me.”
