preppy

preppy is the american version of the british ya or ra. However there are big differences. Yas tend to wear much posher, expensive, designer clothes while preppies tend to wear either ralph lauren or something called american eagle outfitters wich is apparently similar to gap and therefore not posh at all. Yas are also much more snobby. i know this for a fact since i have met a preppy and he was not overtly disgusted by my speaking to him. a ya would be.

Fashionable people who have no regards to dress codes imposed by people who live in the inner city. They follow all types of style as long as it fits them. Stereo type dictates they the clean cut but their not they are the fashionable. They just change style in a drop of a hat.

A group of girls wear most of them come from good families and know not to do things such as drink/smoke/do drugs/ have sex. most of them wear Abercrombie, Hollister, Vera Bradley, UGG Australia and can afford these things. Most of them are nice to others and do not judge. They can afford these things and just because you can not afford these things does not mean you have on every girl that looks good in comfortable clothes.

Girl one: Let's go to the mall.
Girl two: Okay, but I have to finish my homework.
