Cubster is an affectionate term for a male of indeterminate age, usually who possesses the qualities of a cub, or "adorable" behavior . It is primarily used in bear gay subculture as a term of endearment or attraction. It can mean more literally a shorter, stockier version of a cub.

Often employed to keep the relationship just barely going in a way that does not heavily burden the person delivering the asshole crumbs but keeps his or her options perennially open.
