The doctor in question, normally referred to as ‘Doc Ock’ may be referred to as a ‘fowler’ in this case, named so after the tactical medic from the show S.W.A.T.

While on sick leave I visited a theme park and got a swat call from a fowler mid-rollercoaster. I was caught red handed!

This is usually in the context to "make things right/better", when they haven't thought of it themselves. Like when siblings tell each other to "Call Mum" cause it will make her happy but they don't always think to do it.
